A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online (2nd edition) by Adams Media
This book is perfect for someone who wants to learn how to day trade. The book is 10 years old but it still is relevant today. I like how Toni Turner explains which indicators are better for swing trades, which ones for momentum trades, and so on.
I also liked how Toni Turner asks you to define what kind of trader you are. Toni Turner writes:
Do you plan to place three or fewer trades during the day?
Are you content to be a "swing" trader or position trader, meaning you're happy to hold a position for two days to two weeks, or longer?
Do you intend to study trading as much as possible in your spare time, but have no intention of giving up every waking minute to it?
If these objectives describe your trading plans, you're probably a part-time trader, and an online account with a discount broker should be sufficient for your needs. You'll choose to establish an office in your home or other office area, where you can set up a computer with one to two monitors, and a television.
This book covers continuation and reversal patterns, Double-bottom pattern, Cup-with-handle pattern, Reverse Head-and-shoulders, Breakout, Fibonacci numbers, how to trade gap openings, whether to hold overnight or not, and more.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to dive into the world of day trading.
